Keeping your cigars fresh is top priority and our humidor reviews will help you find the humidor that will best suit your needs. In order to choose the best humidor you are going to want to consider three main things:
1) Size. The size of your humidor is important. If you are just getting started with cigar smoking and only buy a few stogies at a time then a small desktop or cabinet may be all that you need. If you are serious connoisseur of the hobby then a larger humidor is what you’ll want. Keep in mind that humidors come is all shapes and sizes and you’ll always want to buy a humidor slightly larger than the maximum number of cigars you’ll want to hold. For example, a 20-count humidor should really only be stocked with 15 sticks at the most.
For more on why, please read our guide to choosing the best humidor.
2) Price. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for and this includes humidors. Prices will range from really inexpensive (i.e. under $20) to really expensive (i.e. over $2,000). You don’t need to go overboard, but remember that the place you store your cigars is the place that is protecting your investment. Cigars are expensive and you don’t want to ruin them with a cheap, poorly constructed humidor.
3) Construction. You basically have two choices when it comes to selecting a humidor: natural wood or synthetic material. Some purists will argue that natural is the only real choice, but the bottom line is you just want a humidor that will protect your sticks. There are pros and cons to both constructions so check out our reviews to find the perfect humidor for you.
